Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register and join Jackson Fury as a new player? Please review all registration materials, follow the instructions, and complete the online registration and payment process. New players, optional for elementary school students and recommended for middle school students, may tryout Jackson Fury by making an appointment to attend a practice with their age group. If you have any questions, please contact Jackson Fury.
I play with Jackson Fury now, do I have to register? Answer: NO! Current, active Jackson Fury members will be sent an email invoicing them for the Indoor soccer session. Payment will be due at the indoor registration deadline. It is not necessary and you are asked not to duplicate your prior online registration.
I missed registration. Can I register late? MAYBE. Please contact Jackson Fury. Open rosters spots on teams will be filled with late registrations. Roster spots will not be held based on phone calls or emails so it is very important to promptly complete the registration process if an open spot does exist!
When are practices? When are games? Answer: For Indoor soccer, there is one practice per week starting at 4:00, 5:00, or 6:00 PM, for 1 hour, Monday to Thursday. Younger ages will train at the later times. Youth foot skills are typically biweekly on Sunday late afternoon or evenings. U9 to U12 games are on Saturdays or Sundays at NC Soccer Hudson. U13 & U14 games are typically Friday evenings or Saturdays. U15 games are Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays.
How much experience is required to play travel soccer? Minimal experience is required for 7-11 year olds since Jackson Fury coaches will provide basic soccer training at these age groups. New 12-15 year old players should be athletic with several years of recreational soccer experience.
Do I have to attend evaluations or tryouts?
No. All players who register by the published deadline will be assigned to an age appropriate, travel team. Basic soccer instruction is provided for players
7 to 11 years old and many new players start with little experience. New players may attend a club practice so that they can experience and try-out
a
typical Jackson Fury soccer practice before parents make the necessary time and financial commitments. Rarely are players cut but, occasionally, new players do not
enjoy the effort required to play travel soccer and drop-out.
What schools do current players attend? Current Jackson Fury players attend Jackson Memorial Middle School, Strausser Elementary, Sauder Elementary, Lake Cable Elementary, Amherst Elementary, St. Marys, St. Phillips and James, St. Michaels, St. Pauls, Northwest Local, Perry Local, Green, N. Canton and Massillon schools. Except for special situations, travel team players are encouraged to stay with their local community soccer club if they have an age appropriate girls or boys team that plays in the community focused Ohio Travel Soccer League.
